Bachman Lake Branch Library
CCA developed the landscape and irrigation planfor this LEED Silver–certified library, shaping a site that balances sustainability with community use. The two-acre landscape features native and drought-tolerant planting that supports long-term performance while providing seasonal interest.
Retaining walls define a welcoming entry courtyard designed as a flexible outdoor gathering space for events and everyday use. The courtyard is framed by layered planting of shade and ornamental trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and perennials, creating a soft transition between architecture and landscape. Native species such as Texas sage, muhly grass, Turk’s cap, and mealy blue sage bring texture and seasonal color from spring through fall.
