Berry Elementary

CCA collaborated with HKS on the site planning and landscape design for a replacement elementary school in Arlington ISD. The design emphasizes preservation of mature trees and strong indoor–outdoor connections that support learning, wellness, and community use.

A welcoming entry plaza and pedestrian walkways are framed by native plantings and shade trees, while outdoor courtyards throughout the campus support learning, dining, and play. A portion of the site is dedicated as a community park, extending the campus landscape into the surrounding neighborhood. Sustainable stormwater strategies, including bioswales and native planting, reinforce the site’s natural character and long-term performance.
