Fire Station 42
CCA provided landscape and site design documentation for Dallas’s first fire station to achieve LEED Gold certification. Planting design was carefully coordinated with the City arborist and Love Field representatives to meet municipal requirements and airfield safety restrictions.
The 1.4-acre site features decorative gravels and drought-tolerant planting to reduce water use and long-term maintenance demands. Low-maintenance plant selections were intentionally chosen to support station staff responsible for landscape upkeep, and a tailored maintenance manual was developed and reviewed with firefighters following project completion.
