Lake Highlands High School

CCA designed a new dining courtyard and landscape improvements to support campus additions and a new practice field at Lake Highlands High School. Developed in collaboration with RISD, the design responds to community input with planted buffers along neighboring residences while creating a welcoming outdoor environment for students.

The project establishes a new campus “heart,” using the dining courtyard as a central gathering space that supports meals, learning, and informal interaction. A variety of seating types and outdoor spaces encourage choice, connection, and moments of reflection, strengthening student well-being and fostering a more cohesive campus community.
