Las Colinas Boulevard
This 1.5-mile arterial corridor was designed to balance mobility, safety, and landscape character within a growing urban context. The project introduces a bike lane, street trees, and planted medians to improve comfort and continuity along the right-of-way while strengthening the overall streetscape.
A key focus of the design was creating safe mid-block pedestrian crossings in high-density residential areas, allowing residents to access commercial destinations across the corridor. Pedestrian crossings were carefully coordinated with medians and shared-use paths, using decorative paving accents to clearly define crosswalks and enhance visibility. Three dimensional imagery supported collaboration and stakeholder alignment on paving and planting strategies, with construction documents issued in phased packages to support implementation.
