MoneyGram Soccer Park at Elm Fork
This project involved the detailed design and specification of bioretention “rain gardens” that serve the soccer fields and adjacent parking areas, capturing and filtering stormwater runoff on site. Developed on a reclaimed landfill, the landscape integrates sustainable stormwater strategies with thoughtful hardscape and planting design to create a cohesive and resilient park environment.
Additional elements include concrete mini-plazas at two concession and restroom pavilions, shaded picnic areas, and a looped trail system that weaves throughout the 120-acre site. Together, these features transform the former landfill into an active, sustainable recreational destination for the community.
