Innovations included the addition of stone riprap at bridge abutments to control erosion and a new below-grade tree staking detail, adopted by NTTA, which reduces maintenance costs and eliminates above-grade hazards for staff. By combining careful inspection, thoughtful problem-solving, and collaboration with NTTA and the contractor, CCA helped create a safer, more sustainable corridor that balances functionality with landscape integrity..
