Oakmont Linear Park
CCA developed a phased Master Plan for this 27-acre park, designed to connect southwestern neighborhoods to Fort Worth’s primary trail system. The forested riparian site features a creek, steep limestone outcroppings, and a largely untouched ecosystem. The Master Plan includes parking, two pavilions, site furnishings, off-road bicycle areas, and 1.1 miles of eight-foot-wide secondary trails with interpretive soft-surface loops.
Development was concentrated south and east of Dutch Branch Creek due to site constraints along the western bank. Phase one includes half a mile of concrete trail, benches, and seeding of native grasses and wildflowers, creating a welcoming, sustainable entry to the park.
