TCCD Center of Excellence for Energy Technology
CCA prioritized sustainable water management throughout the site design. Permeable soils were transformed into bioretention zones and planted with a diverse palette of native species to naturally store and filter stormwater. This integrated system detains and filters runoff before channeling it into bioswales and bioretention areas, significantly reducing stormwater discharge.
In key areas such as the entry and courtyards, permeable pavers to reduce run-off and thoughtfully placed tree plantings provided shade and enhanced both aesthetics and functionality. The project’s innovative and environmentally responsible approach to landscape design earned it LEED Platinum certification.
