UNT Health Science Center Master Plan

CCA prepared the hardscape and softscape narrative and design components of the master plan for this rapidly growing facility. Working closely with campus stakeholders, the team developed strategies to enhance outdoor spaces, expand green infrastructure, and introduce new gathering areas that enrich daily student life and support campus wide events. The design vision emphasized creating a connected, welcoming, and adaptable urban campus environment through shade, planting diversity, pedestrian comfort, and flexible-use spaces that reinforce long-term campus identity.

This work is grounded in the 2018 Campus Master Plan for the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC), which establishes a forward-looking vision aligned with the institution’s mission and values. The plan addresses immediate needs while accommodating long-term growth, guiding the campus’ evolution over the coming decades.
